Alessandro Magliani (Milan, b. 1992) is a London-based contemporary artist and architect whose practice bridges architectural and painterly workflows. He trained at the Architectural Association, where his work focused on graphic, conceptual, and narrative driven projects, and he continues to practice architecture alongside his work as an artist.
Responding to the increasingly digital nature of contemporary architectural production, Magliani repositions digital modelling as a generative tool for physical expression. His process combines clay modelling with 3D scanning and digital rendering to develop fluid, organic forms that serve as both the conceptual and compositional foundation for his oil paintings. His practice is constantly evolving, most recently introducing ideas of transparency and distortion within his digital environments, which further inform the spatial and perceptual qualities of the painted work. The resulting works explore the tension between digital precision and tactile materiality through flow, movement, and structure.
