Anide (France, b. 1994) is a self-taught French artist. His practice focuses on exploring the "language of images" through a combination of abstract and figurative elements. Drawing inspiration from a variety of sources, including mythology, folklore, nature and philosophy, the artist explores the unconscious in his works, evoking sensations and impressions that have a hypnotic effect.
Anide's work is characterised by a dreamlike interplay between the visible and the invisible, where human forms and landscapes undergo subtle transformations. The artist's works act as visual metaphors, revealing intangible worlds of memory and imagination. His images are like a surrealist reverie, blurring the boundaries between reality and fantasy, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in multi-layered interpretations.
His artistic practice is based on a deep interest in the connections between abstraction and imagery, the individual and the collective, primal instincts and social constructs. The artist's work thus serves as a kind of guide, establishing connections between disparate elements, facilitating the emergence of new forms of discourse that are a richer vision of reality that remains in the mind like a half-forgotten dream. Therefore, his work goes beyond simple aesthetic experience, turning into a meditative journey.
